What is crossfit?

Crossfit is a cyclic training system characterized by high intensity movements and short rest breaks. Exercise results in constant muscle tension that contributes to the development of strength, endurance, coordination, and muscle mass. Crossfit combines different sports. Some of them include weightlifting, gymnastics, powerlifting, sprint, and others

Crossfit was developed by American Greg Glassman in 2001, who initially applied it to train California police officers. After that, crossfit began to be used in training of US Marines, firefighters, rescuers. Thanks to its good results, it quickly became popular in many countries around the world.

Crossfit delivers impressive results because the exercises performed during workout sessions are varied, and cover all muscle groups. They are based on high reps and body weight. During a 60-minute session, it is possible to burn up to 1000 kcal. Practicing it regularly strengthens muscles and forms a beautiful muscle relief.

It doesn’t matter how old you are, what kind of experience you have in sports, and physical fitness. Anyone can do Crossfit. The most important thing is to keep a positive attitude and a desire to achieve goals. The PM Fight Academy gym in Kiev is ideal for crossfit training: up to 200 people can freely train in it, there are exercise bikes, air bikes, treadmills, horizontal bars, barbells and dumbbells, and TRX loops. But the most important aspect is that qualified trainers will select the most appropriate set of exercises for every person’s goals and objectives, set the most adequate techniques, and help people to correct mistakes during each session. Our crossfit coaches include: Alexander Polishchuk, Master of Sports in Powerlifting (RAW), and winner of All-Ukrainian CrossFit tournaments; and Vyacheslav Voleynik, International Master of Sports in Powerlifting (UNPF) and current crossfit athlete.

In the long term, it can improve your health. You can train individually with a coach or as part of a group. There are no restrictions on your development.

When doing crossfit, it is important to pay attention to nutrition in order to provide the body with all the building components that it needs. Examples of them include proteins, amino acids, as well as macro and microelements. In the reception area of the PM Fight Academy there is a bar with sport nutrition supplements, smoothies and fresh juices especially designed for you. There is also a lounge area and a massage room.
